The Ragdoll is a cat breed with a colour point coat and blue eyes. They are large and muscular semi-longhair cats with a soft and silky coat. Developed by an American breeder they are best know for their docile and placid temperament and affectionate nature.

Valley View Cattery chose to breed Ragdolls because they make the perfect pet. They are know for their tendency to follow people around, their ease when physically handled and their relative lack of aggression towards other pets.

They have a bold personality, and a floppy and calm nature, with claims that these characteristics have been passed down from the Persian and Birman breeds.  

 

A fully grown female weighs 3.6 to 6.8kg and males 5.4-9.1kg or more. The genes for point colouration are responsible for the distinctive blue eyes of the ragdoll.

The three different patterns are:-

* Colorpoint - One colour darkening at the extemities (nose, ears,tail and paws)

​

* Mitted:- Same as pointed but with shite paws and abdomen. with it without a blaze (a white chin or spot on the face) but must have a belly stripe and a white chin.

* Bi-colour:- white legs, white inverted V in the face, white abdomen and sometimes white patches on the back.

* Bluepoint:- This cat is so named after its dark bluish-grey. Blue point Ragdolls body is a light platinum tone. It must be stated that the area of its chest and stomach has a bluish-gray colour.

We hand raised our mother and father breeding cats to ensure the most perfect personalities and genetics will be passed down to their kittens. Along with giving the litters lots of cuddles, attention and exposure, we have created the most perfect and confident kittens.
